   Hi- pics attached. The buttons are the only closures, I thought the little metal zig zag thing in the collar (presumably to make it stand up?) were interesting.

   I actually have some of the collar supports for sale - the dress you have looks 1940s to me. The collar supporters could well be older and whoever made the dress used them to aid the "stand-up" collar look.
