What am I made of (purse)?

Here's a stumper.

It feels like a suede, but doesn't have the nap when brushed the wrong way. In some spots it has a little bit of grain to it like a full grain leather. not texturally, but very subtley visible like a "roll" in a very fine calfskin. It is sturdy, but a bit supple and has such a nice hand to it. More substantial feeling than a thin microfiber.

So what am I made of?

maker is town and country shoes.







strap is same, but the other side of the handle is backed is backed in faux on the underside.

Any wild guesses? (and why cannot i be satisfied with just "suede like")

All I am seeing is red cross stitching on a beige square...

It's hard to tell without a good, clear closeup, but could it be ultra suede?

 

I was thinking along those lines. It just felt more substantial than that. It doesn't have the Dupont trademark so it isn't, but it maybe something similar. I might just call it suede like, like ultrasuede. I have been trying to get a good close up scan but nothing really is working to "show it". i may just leave it at that.
