What do you call a sleeveless jacket?

    In the old days, they were often referred to as a tabard. I see it as more of a vest than jacket.

    yes I have used tabard but was not sure if it was a good key word. I too think long vest is a good descriptor. Have a beautiful day Barbara and thank you.

    IIRC tabards are open on the sides. That does look more like a vest!

    Maggie, you are right. I could not tell if this was open on the sides or not.

    Open front long vest, or sleeveless long cardigan/jacket. Can't think of a specific single name for it.
