What do you call this..Bathing Suit or Play Suit?

    I'd say it's a play suit - esp. in light of the bloomer-type panties. Very cute! I have an Elizabeth Stewart bathing suit up on Ebay now, btw (my lone Preppy VTA auction :()

    Just being ornery . . . :D . . . but I think it's a bathing suit.
    Early 60's, these boy legs suits were "in." Hence, the elastic-leg inner "bloomer" layer. (They're not really bloomers . . . just a modesty issue, so that you didn't have to be careful how you sat down with the cotton - non-stretchy - boy legs.)

    That cut looks 62-65 to me . . and it's all-kinds-of-preppy. :)
