    Hi,

Not been on the site for a good couple of months, been sifting and sorting, lots of finds I didn't know I had.

From the images, what is the material this coat is made from?

Its a Harrods coat, circa, late 60s early 70s more likely?

It has a matching sleeveless dress.

It's probably a mix of fibers; the sheen looks like metallic which could be one.
Is there a seam inside the dress or coat where you could find some threads and perhaps make some burn tests?

    It looks very rich.

To me it looks like a jacquard, perhaps a brocatelle, and I agree with Claire that there appears to be metallic in with something else.
