When in France...I can't date this label?

Please help me with dating this dress. I found two dresses online with a similar label Pierany minus the street addy. One said it was 70's and another 40's ( the exact same label ). What do you think?

    Thank you so much,

Member @lkranieri is a wonderful label sleuth -- I'm hoping she'll see this.

The ad shows a jersey dress and calls it "jersey couture", and the text in the other issue also talks about jersey fashion by Pierany, so it seems that may have been their specialty. The other article sounds like a round-up of what's going on and what's new in fashion and beauty in Paris. I'm not 100% sure I got this right, but I think what the sentence about Pierany means (Chez pierany, la mode des tricots veut le buste plaqué devant et l'ampleur rejetée vers l'arrière.) is that in their jersey fashion/dresses, busts are supossed to be flat/or in that sense not emphasized, whilst fullness is shown in the back.

Merci Midge! Do you have any idea how old the article is?

  13. 1958 tallies with the dress nicely, as to age too.

I also saw late 1950s in the style of the dress. This sleek fitted style with pockets near the hips was popular around then. I did wonder if the dress had been dyed as the label looks coloured? but it could just be the light.

    Hi,
No, not with that print. No dye job. LOL.

    :)
