I am confused. Flap in back and flap in front. Side nylon zipper. No label. Late 60s??

Oh, cool. I don't know why I was thinking late 60s on this. The lady I bought it from really knows her stuff and all her 70s are separated from her 60s stuff.

I have an early 70s catalog. Going to take a look.

    Shorts or Skirt?

Scooter skirt. This short, I'd say 1970.

I would say Scooter Skirt or Skort.....and, late 60s, early
    70s.

I remember having a skort late 60s, so this could be a cusper.

You all are right! I have a 1972 Spring Summer Sears Catalog with some similar! One says pantskirt and the other says playskirt.

I will see if I can get some scans.

From 1972 Sears....most were polyester but some were cotton/poly blend which this might be.

I had a one in 1970. But I cannot remember what we called them. Skort, maybe.

  14. Hey...a little OT but who are those ladies on those 1st two patterns? They are actresses. I know I have seen them. Probably of some LifeTime movies.

Hey, Marie, now don't get me started. Now, they do look familiar. I spent a whole morning doing this research! LOL

Thank you for that trip down memory lane -- I wore those in the very later 60s and we called them culottes (North Florida freaks that we were) and all those patterns recall the "early years" on my mom's Singer (which I still own) cranking out the clothes!!

    Sigh, Melissa
