YSL Couture dating

This Yves Saint Laurent suit is from the Nan Kempner sale. I would appreciate help with the date.
When working with the jackets for Couture Tailoring, I made several observations that I had not considered.

Pockets on YSL jackets are always real--even when located over the bust like these. On Balenciaga and Chanel, they are sometimes fake. I haven't looked at enough Dior to comment.

 

80s or 90s, i'll check in the couture runway book

 

Claire, I see late '80s to early '90s too. Skirt length probably helps date as they got shorter towards the early '90s. I think it's likely late '80s as the '40s styling is so strong but I don't have any special knowledge of this label.

 

I think it could be HC Spring 1987. He did big pocket flaps in that collection.
