I hope you can help me with this skirt: one of my favourites, but unfortunately, it doesn' t fit me anymore. (must have shrunk on the hanger) The skirt has an YSL label, but somehow I have always doubted it is the real thing. I can not put my finger on it, it just does't say YSL to me. Please give me your verdict: "REAL OR FAKE?" The zipper is an Eclair, the fastener says CUPI-fix, Swiss made. The label is sewn in at the top only, nothing obviously wrong: thanks, Diane
It's a European fastener like I've seen on YSL. I've also seen the similar YSL stripes. It's really a neat skirt. What is the waist? Claire
I find that interesting that you split the set - I would have thought it was worth more together? I do split sets, but only when one piece is damaged or a widely different size (sometimes one piece is altered drastically). That is: they can't really be sold together. So I was wondering: is this common for sellers to split sets?
Perhaps DanaH only had the blouse to begin with, and may be confirming that it's YSL. That waist looks about 24 inches to me.
Thank you all for your answers: so it seems to be the real thing! Interesting to find there was a matching blouse, what did it look like? Was it made of the same striped material as the skirt? The waist of the skirt is 64 cm, that is 25 inches. Somehow turning 30 and moving in with my boyfriend has added some inches to my waist... There is just no way it zips up anymore. Believe me, I have tried... :powwows: many thanks again, Diane
Yes, I remember those diagonal stripes. Below is an YSL blouse I still have, if you take away the gathers, add buttons down the front and change the fabric, you'll have the blouse I'm talking about
Took away the gathers, added buttons down the front and changed the fabric: Yup, I can see it now! thank you, Dana. Diane
