would you guys say 60s for this one? it "feels" 50s to me but I'm def no expert. I included a pic of the care tags bc they were kind of neat.
Not an expert either but I would have said late 70s or maybe even 80s. The trademark for George Gross states that the name was first used in 1974 and first used commercially in 1986.
I am less comfortable dating 'newer' fashions, but my first reaction was 1980's, so I checked our LABEL RESOURCE HERE and noted that the company was started in the 1970's, so the dress must be after that date. Edited to add: I see more refined dates were posted as I typed, so that should help.
George Gross is a very successful Australian designer. Agree with '80s for this dress, I'll go early '80s. As Melanie mentions, it's '50s inspired. My most recent blog post deals with Australian vintage sizing systems and according to my chart, the size label puts it between '71 and the late '80s too.
