Esther Williams Tribute

The Million Dollar Mermaid—Esther Williams—would have been 92 on August 8th. She passed away on June 6th, leaving us with so many wonderful cinematic memories.

She popularized synchronized swimming in the 1940s and 50s with movies like Bathing Beauty and Jupiter’s Darling. The amazing choreography in her films rivaled any song and dance movie. Her fabulous figure, shaped by a career as a competitive swimmer, showed off some killer swimsuits, and she launched her own collection of swimwear in the 1980s. When asked who her favorite leading man was, she replied “the water.”

Let’s remember Esther Williams by showing off our best vintage swimwear and poolside accessories!

Novelty print mens cabana shorts by Ceeb of Miami, much worn and faded, but still quite wearable

This Catalina suit is not listed yet, hopefully soon. I do love it.
