January is here, and the knit has hit the fan! Here’s a purl of wisdom: The earliest known knitted items date back to the 11th century in regions of Egypt. Classic long-sleeved fitted virgin-wool knit sheath dress by Bobbie Brooks (B 36-40) in perfect condition now available at The Vintage Merchant. This is a rich deep shade of black, we lightened the images to try to show the darting.




This 1970s body-hugging nylon knit dress is by Rag Dolls Sanfrancisco (B 33") labeled size 5 and is also now available at The Vintage Merchant.




And, these sweet 60s knit gloves made in Japan feature pretty little pleated hems. Also available at TVM now.
