My sister bought this bag from an antique shop in the 1960's I'm presuming it might have been hand made in the 1940's when materials to make a lady's handbag might have been scarce. It has an Aero square-ended zip in the lining and some Roman numerals which might be connected to a previous use for the wood. The purse is cleverly made and with an up to date lining would be a great conversation piece.
