Many of you may already know me from years of shopping regional US vintage and antique shows, for those I haven't met yet in person or at the VFG here is a brief history of my vintage world.
From 1984-1992 I owned and operated a small vintage shop in the Beach area of Toronto, my shop was 20th Century Frox.
From 1992-1996 I did the rounds of vintage shows in the US from NYC to the mid-west. It was during this time I made most of my contacts in the costume rental world.
In November 1996 I took 200 sf of abandoned artist loft in a rundown post industrial complex and opened Ian Drummond Collection.
16 years and 2 moves later I have a 10,000 sf studio in the west end of Toronto. My collection ships all over the world for both feature film and television.
I am still adding to the collection, just more thoughtfully than in the beginning. From time to time as the projects roll in, I put the word out for specific items to help bring the best we all have to offer to the screen.
I hope we get to work together soon.
