This is a "The Evans Collection" natural mink coat cord cut? (I'm learning) I inherited this when my mother in-law passed away in 1997. They lived in Chicago area. 3 hook and eye closure in front slash? Side pockets. Tag inside attached to the natural mink says 20 assuming size as its huge on me. Also a tag that reads specialist clean only. I'm versed a bit on Evan's inc. My father in-law worked in downtown Chicago. And I know there were 9 main stores in that area along with locations within other stores which had tags that added those store names. Its been stored at my moms house in Virginia since 1997. I've just reclaimed it and desire whatever information y'all can provide me with. Sorry for bad photos.
I've been looking online for that label style, but all I'm finding is, brown or white block style. Any thoughts on how or where I might obtain more information?
Henri Kessler is a furrier in Roanoke Virginia. From Newspapers.com, I see it was chartered in 1938 and is still in business. https://henrikesslerfurs.com/ Oddly enough, I see listings for a television show called Henri Kessler in Virginia papers in the 1970s—couldn't find out anything more about that. I see this ad in many papers nationwide for an Evans Collection mink jacket from 1983. Do you think it looks similar?
Sorry I was referring to evans collection. I know the kessler store. I'm in Blacksburg va at the moment I guess mom used their hanger. I was referring to the label style in the coat. I see many online just not that particular label style. Cara
