This one is no longer in my posession, but a label picture might be available from my archives without the hand, other pics are taken as well.

The Gaultier Homme jacket looks late 90s to me; the Valentino puffer vest early-mid 70s; the puffer coat must be older as it doesn't have any of the universal care symbols, which are pretty 'universal' by the mid 70s, so I think this must be earlier than 1975; The YSL made in Britsh Crown Colony Hong Kong must be early 70s as that phraseology pretty much disappears by 1975ish; Agree that the Lanvin label was added to the jacket - not original, but the print of the lining has that Southwest look, which was huge in the early 90s; Valentino Uomo jumpsuit must be early/mid 80s with the military inspired flash; Bally is known for shoes - not sure when they broke into clothing, but this jacket looks early 80s with its blouson style and the big patch pockets; the plaid Valentino Jeans jacket looks Eddie Bauerish late 90s - 2000s rural chic to me, I have no clue about the sweatshirt.

That Lanvin tag doesn't belong in the Grupiel jacket. Most of these appear to be 80s.
I figured it might be the case, but it seems to be a fairly distict label. Do you know what might've happened? I assumed either this was the case or it was liscenced out. It appears to be centered, with the label sown in exactly the same on the sides, i may be mistaken though.

You're probably right, i posted it up anyways as a potential throwaway, it looks centered, but the label is too small, someone probably sewed a tie tag in, it was my first bintage piece so you'll have to excuse poor dumb beginner me i promise ive gotten much better

i also found these labels that are quite similar in other vintage lanvin jackets. For future reference, is it just grupiel that warns as a fake?

I'm not saying it's a fake jacket. I'm saying it's made by Grupiel. You can probably research if Lanvin ever contracted with Grupiel, but I am guessing no, or at least not in the 80s/90s, when they were a very, very French company. It seems highly unlikely that those tags would be in the same garment.

Hello, Sean,
I can't add to the expertise here, but wanted to say these are some great pieces! Thanks for posting here.
Not a problem! Im a huge collector so im sure ill be back. I do this as a side venture to help afford clothing i couldn't otherwise afford due to being in college. Yknow the struggle
