Gucci Loafers

I love the thrill of thrifting and ran across these loafers at an estate sale for $4!
I’m having a hard time finding any photos that match exactly. I’m just curious if they are real or not. I can’t find a serial number anywhere but I have not tried lifting the sole out.

Note: These women’s loafers have approximately a 1 inch heel.

There aren't serial numbers on Gucci footwear - there might be production numbers for internal factory information on the inside of the quarters - along with the sizing. The VFG doesn't authenticate items, so it's best to look at the quality of manufacturing - if there are high quality materials and tidy sewing and well-finished edges and setting in of liners etc. then chances are likely they are real. These appear to be well made in the photos, but look closely to be more sure.

Use Google Lens to do a reverse image search. Upload your photos and see if anything similar comes up. This might give you clues about the style, brand, or era.

Oh I totally understand not being to authenticate. I was just hoping for guidance on possible style and era. Thank you
They do seem well made. But I’ve really only had basic non luxury items before so I’m still super novice.

Gucci moccasin loafers with snaffle links are typical of Gucci footwear - definitely trademarks of the company. Problem is they have made essentially the same style of version of the same thing since the late 1960s, so dating them is nearly impossible - its down to subtle differences that can only be determined in handling up close, and even then, its tough.

Thank you so much! I’m thinking 80s/90s just because they came from an old ladys house and most of her stuff was vintage and from that era. I appreciate your reply!
