Dye bleed

Can anyone help me with correcting dye bleed using Synthrapol? I recently purchased this fabulous skirt (I believe it’s a heavy cotton). It’s embroidered with mostly black & some red thread, & looks like the black has bled. I’ve seen posts in other places where people have had success with removing dye bleed with Synthrapol. Any advice would be appreciated. I’m including photos for reference.

You should be able to soak the skirt with cool water and Synthrapol. It is designed to bind to loose dyes and remove them from the fabric. It works best in warm water, but I would use cool and let it soak longer. Good luck!

I've always soaked cottons in hot water and Synthrapol and never had a problem. However to be honest I haven't had great success in removing old dye bleeds, they usually lighten but don't come out completely.
