Help Dating Bairns-Wear Jumper

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to date this Bairns-Wear jumper. I've done a bit of research on the company but I'm still not sure. With the sizing label being a "W" and it's design in general, I want to say 1930s or maybe 40s. Maybe earlier or later though?

Any help and information would be wonderful, thanks.

Hard to date your sweater given how classic it is. Not earlier than 30s, not later 50s by that label is my guess.

Thanks again Ruth, you're a great help! It's tricky with it's vague style as you say and the label definitely has a 50s at the latest feel. I'm sure I read up more about the old fashioned letter sizing in the past but can't remember where. A few things online imply they were used in the early 20th century through till maybe about the 50s, which would place it about right with your decade estimation.
