I need help identifying when this Laura Ashley dress was made.

I’m having a difficult time figuring out when this dress was made. Can anyone help me?

I agree with 90s.

The overall shape strikes me as quite 70s, wide collar and a-line skirt, as does the colour palette. However as Shusteroo says the labelling is more recent. There was a 70s revival in the 90s so I think that’s at play in this dress. And although there’s a 70s feel to it, I don’t think it’s what LA were doing in the 70s? They were more Victorian/Edwardian hippy romantic vibes back then

Is there a care label anywhere?

It’s very nice, I love the earthy colours, and viscose/wool blend is a nice fabric.

Thank you for this information, it helped a lot! It does have a 70s look to it that I absolutely love. I’m big on thrifting and when I came across this beauty I couldn’t leave it on the rack. It does have a care label, I’ll attach a photo.

That care label has got me second guessing myself, and wondering if this could be late 70s. Usually, by the 90s, care labels have 5 symbols. LA were manufacturing in Hungary in 70s ETA 80s according to the label resource. But the label looks most similar to the 90s denim dress one in the resource, except for the number of symbols on the care label.

The absence of a drying symbol might just mean that it needs to be air dried, which makes sense in this case. That spread type collar without lace wasn't something I remember from 70s and 80s Laura Ashley dresses.
then there would be the Do Not Tumble Dry symbol, or even the line dry symbol (not often seen but it does exist)

The requirement to give drying instruction symbols came about in the mid 80s - somewhere on these forums there’s information about this.

But of course not every one got up to speed straight away.

I do agree with you on the collar etc
