50s dress?

Hi all. I have what looks (to me) like a 50s dress but there’s no label, the zip has plastic teeth (metal zipper) and there is overlocking on most of the inside seams. It’s cotton. Any ideas?! Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by this?
A metal zipper has metal teeth. A nylon/plastic zipper has nylon/plastic teeth. All zipper types generally have metal zipper "pulls".
Can you provide a photo of the zipper and a photo of the back of the dress?

Overlocked sticking has been around since the 1800s, seen more on commercially produced clothing early on... so it's one of many ways to determine age but knowing this, not the #1. Zippers are often replaced along the way. Start with the shape and construction of the garment then work down the list of details.
