Definitely define your 'areas' to start with. I am a bad example as I constantly move things around to try and eke out a little extra space.. You are doing it the right way though as Jamie says, to get a system in place from the start.

I am not sure - but agree they look WW2. Maybe the militaria boards on ebay would be a good place to try if you get no more hints here -I think they're supposed to be very helpful, as well as knowledgable :)

it is a shame, and does make me sad. But they really have got quite a job on their hands. When the football game is on in our town (every few Saturdays) it is chaos. The last time I got caught in it I couldn't believe my eyes - there were mounted policemen, police dogs, armoured riot vans...
