    I need to add a photo of nylon plissé to our Fabric Resource! Never mind—there is one. Nylon plisse can come in a lot of different patterns, all with that crinkled bit.

    It looks like a plissé (https://vintagefashionguild.org/fabric-resource/plisse/) and yes, you should be able to wash it. By what you say about a glossy coating, I'm thinking it could be a manufactured fabric such as woven nylon.
