This pin was given to me as a child, so it's about 60 - 65 years old ... and I have never worn it ... time to move it along. Is the 208 referring to the silver content? Does the "signature" ring any bells?
It is "Haute Couture Week" in Paris. The NY Times has posted a 'scrapbook' of designers of couture at work and play HERE. This is Jacques Fath, 1951, in his studio.

Hi Vic. I looked up this label in 'Newspaper Archives' and all the ads are from the 1950s. Many of their ads say the dresses are "inspired" by either current movie stars or movies of that time. For example, from one ad with drawings of the garments -
Bravo to Natlynn Jrs, for these inspired...

Welcome. There are some good threads HERE that offer all kinds of information. And questions are always welcomed. Members are very generous with sharing their knowledge.
I'm not sure about the switch from Hong Kong to China on labels in 1997, but I'm quite sure most VFG member wouldn't call something from 1997 or later 'vintage'. What I keep an eye out for is the older label - "Made in British Crown Colony of Hong Kong" which was used a lot on quality...
