I agree with Jonathan. The Chanel Creations label, and there are a variety of label designs, was the pre-Lagerfeld period. I have a black tweed suit with the same buttons as the last picture.
Hi everyone!
My blog is celebrating 5 years of being on the web.
To celebrate, I'm giving away one vintage designer item! I'm giving away presents!! Here's a link to the blog post. Please feel free to enter and share...
I'm not a sewing expert, so I don't know if this is handmade. But it seems like maybe the bra was altered for fit? Maybe she lost or gained weight. There aren't rows of eyes to adjust the strap. Just a thought. The rest of the bra looks very professionally made compared to the closure.
I'm on the fence. I love McQueen and love this print, but it is a bit much for Salma. But I think about stuff in my closet that I have no business wearing (like a soft gold DVF babydoll dress) but I love it anyway. Ultimately, I'd choose something I love over something flattering I guess, and...
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share with you the interview I did with Carol Beadle, the costume designer for the film The Runaways. It's the first time I looked at 1970s clothes and loved every single piece.

Here's the press release:
In a packed saleroom today, people eagerly bid on exciting celebrity-owned and designer dresses, donated by Topshop, and sold in aid of Help the Aged and Age Concern.
Some of the top-selling lots were Scarlett Johansson’s dress, lot 25, which sold for £550, Kate...
Hi everyone!
You're very welcome. And thanks for reading. I'm going through this phase where I don't know if I should continue with the effort on the blog, so you totally made my day.
I did not bid. Did anyone? Maybe prices went high because it's for charity. I was just sent the closing...
the one I bought at Bed, Bath and Beyond, looks an awful lot like the ones everyone is suggesting. But I guess the quality of the metal can make or break it, literally. The button on mine completely pushed in and got lost. Odd.
I saw the one at Target, but it seems like it would be the same...
I thought I had read that some of you were not happy with the collapsible garment racks from Bed Bath and Beyond. Can you tell me why? Are they different from the kind you buy from retail supply stores?
Hi everyone.
I've been a bit MIA lately. But I wanted to let you all now that I went to the Vintage Expo last week and got to meet Kristine of Elsewhere and Janet from Woodland Farms.
Mary from Zuburbia and I met up and had a great time. Full report on my blog this Monday.
A great article on vintage in a small paper - Elsewhere mentioned:

Oh it's such a magnificent place. I loved seeing the Irene room! Thank you so much for sharing this. I had the opportunity to view a fashion show a couple years ago in the Tea Room. It was such an amazing experience.
