Oooohhh I love yours with the black and white!
My friend had something similar from the 70's. It was basically a long tube with a seam in the center and a handle on either side of the tube. It was brilliant.

It took me awhile to figure out that this 50's purse was not just a black patent purse, but rather a purse with a reversible exteriors - sort of like the Bermuda bags of the 70's!
I'm glad I did sort it out, though it made it MUCH harder to put up on the auction black.
Auction.

I would guess 40's, judging from the motorcycle on the label. A lot of guys came home from the war and bought motorcycles.
It is a GREAT jacket and should do very well for you!
That label makes me think of MC.

I CANNOT WAIT for Season 3! In the meantime we can occupy ourselves by making Madmen avatars.

I'll upload mine later.

Wow - gorgeous shots - I love the backgrounds, and your model is a natural.
I too like that bright jacket with the skinny jeans.
Nice work, as always!

Welcome Elizabeth!
Please be sure to check out the members side of the board - as Jen pointed out, we have a welcome thread going for you!

Hi everyone
Thank you so much for all the advice and I LOVE seeing the photos of back yards - they look great - little heavens.
That's a great point about the brick, except that we already have the bricks here! Our mason friend dropped them off last year, after tearing up another brick...
My husband and I have been waiting for a friend (who is a mason professionally) to do this for us, but it seems like between the bad weather here in Maine, and his busy schedule, he's not going to get to it.
It's a relatively small area - a 10' x 12' rectangle with a walkway so we're...
MS - I adore those ties. The gray/red color combo is my favorite, but I love the blue/pink deco ties on the right - especially together like that!

I just participated in my first vintage fair, as a seller. Granted, it was tiny (only four sellers in a little art gallery) but it was a major success, and I truly enjoyed meeting the buyers face to face.
What a nice surprise that must have been for you. I'd like to happen across a vintage...
Oh I love that blouse pattern!
The "face" is plastic, like a mask and there are no holes for nostrils. Only weird slit rubber overlays on the eyes, which gives it an extra creepy aspect. It reminds me of an actual mask that hasn't been cut out of the shell.
And yes, Karen, Maine is the...
Is the last tie a Rooster tie? Their more interesting novelty prints can do really well. I would list it in vintage.
LOVE the bow ties, and according to this article, they are making a comeback

I think I know what you're asking.
If I have a measurements section, and I want to link from the top of the page to the measurements section, I use this code
Measurements (at the top where I want to link from).
Which links to this, further down on the page [a name="measurements"]...
I'm bumping this back up because I got a Brown's Beach Jacket today. Mine has a Dry Clean Only label, so I think it's later - maybe 60's or 70's? And why are they so desirable?
Amanda, I can understand why you kept yours for awhile. I put mine on for a few minutes while we were hanging out...
That reminds me of when I was little and my parents would go to weddings and my mother would bring me home a piece of cake to put under my pillow so I could dream about the man I would marry.
That's too pretty to put under a pillow! Though I love that it brought back that memory (and to be...
I've looked at my own vintage catalogs about 1000 times and always wish I had more. Here's a great way to check out some gorgeous vintage catalogs online

I agree with 50's.
Where are the straps? Are they something that could hook over the arms so it hangs in a certain way?
Lovely coat! If you can wait, I would recommend holding off until the fall to list it. Not many people are thinking about winter coats.

I sometimes call dresses with damage "PBR" dresses, because when you're out and everyone is drinking Pabst Blue Ribbons, no one will notice the flaws.
