How vintage do you want them to be? I have some that I believe are from the 50's, but it's a nightmare to get decent pics of them!
I can try today - it would be good to have an excuse to get them line.
Susan
I keep coming back to this because one minute I think it's 50's. Then I think it's 70's. That white detailing on the sleeves is throwing me off, because it's pretty outre for the 50's. (Which makes it even better).
But the more I look, the more I see 50's. Does it have button and loop...
Here's one!
I copied and pasted your HTML, and had the same results, at first. Then I took out
?action=view¤t=
so it was just the address of the image. I think that bit behind the question mark is some sort of command, which mucked up the HTML.
The jacket looks great so far...
I'm not an expert but I agree with Viv - though I didn't take the time to research. Because of the wrap style and ruffles, I would guess 70's.
It is a GREAT dress! I think you will do well with it!

Oh wow - Tiffany and Beth - I want to come visit you guys for Easter!
I am having my family here - 7 adults and 4 kids, all under the age of 5. It's sort of a challenge to work out a menu that appeals to the dieting/low-carb grownups, and the picky kids. It doesn't help that the 40's stove...
The treatment reminds me of petals, but not a petal bust. It's more like upside down petals.
Boy, that's no help is it?
I think no matter how you describe it, this dress will do well - it is a knockout! :USEROCKY:

That looks like a hoot. I went with DH when he played at the Hemsby Rockabilly Festival (about 12 years ago!) and WOW - it was crazy fun. I have never seen so much drinking in my life - we'd get up in the morning and have our hangover breakfast, and folks were already starting.
I'd love to...
I looked at those and considered it but want something a little smaller and with a bit more of an ankle, so I can show off the straps.
Someone on the VFG (I think) had clear "feet" which I thought looked nice.
Susan
I'm looking for a plastic foot to use in displaying shoes. Ideally I'd like a foot/calf, which would be helpful for boots.
I already have a foot/calf form for displaying stockings, but the toe is pointed, which makes it impossible to use for shoes unless the heel is a certain height.
You...
Sorry to let this slip but it's just taken me forever to take photos and photoshop them (school vacation week mayhem).
I hope these help date this. I'd like to get it listed or on my website one of these days! I need to get those dangly bits out of here before my cats discover them! :cats...
Great article - LOVE the name!
I am a total gardening neophyte but this year would like to take it on. I am thrilled to find out about the seed supplier - they are right up the street!
Thanks for posting.

Our cat died at the beginning of January from liver cancer. And our house has felt empty ever since. So several weeks ago DH and I went to the local cat shelter to get a new one.
Of course we couldn't agree, so we came home with two.
This is Tex a/k/a Mr. Bib a/k/a Fatty McFattleston...
I adore this thing - maybe because it reminds me of my beautiful new black coon cat - it is SO soft.
But I'm having a hard time determining the age. There are no labels. It is lined with black polished cotton. The stitching seems hand done.
It is made of maribou feathers - they are sewn...
Wow -great jacket! With that self belt across the back I'm inclined to think it's from the late 40's. I wouldn't happen to be a larger size would it? DH would look great in that.
Susan
I don't have any novelty prints to add at the moment, but I wanted to say how much I LOVE these!
Susan
PS. Kim - I could swear that Candy/Contentmentfarm found fabric very similar to your "Grumpy Lions" shirt!
Heading out in a bit for a haircut and color (!) but can measure this when I get back. But what are CB and CF measurements? :puzzled:
Thanks everyone for your insight - the age of this is a nice surprise!
Susan
Ohh - thank you! I was hoping it was 20's, but I have never dealt with a cape from that era.
The velvet is lovely and very soft - it's just such a nightmare to get a good shot of black velvet - even under the best conditions!
Thank you!

Another Black Velvet Mystery - Dramatic Sleeved Coat - 30\'s?
The sleeves on this make me think this is from the mid-30's. But I stuffed them to show off their shape and it gives the coat a whole new/older look.
This is made of black silk velvet and has a great little ermine "bow" on the...
Vintage Black Velvet Cape - 20\'s? 30\'s? 40\'s?
Please help the cape impaired!
The cocoon shape of this makes me think that it could be from the 1920's. But the length makes me think it's later - perhaps from the 40's?
There are no tags (that would make it too easy!). The bottom has a...
My DH looks at 45s sometimes and when I've asked him what to look for he says he always looks for smaller early labels - the only one I can name is "Event Records" which was out of Westbrook, Maine. I seem to recall a website or book that has lots of early New England labels, but my brain and...
Mention that you saw this on the VFG and get free shipping - I want this stuff out of here (I've had too many good big scores - if there is such a thing!).
