The links don't look like Celluloid to me but you can test them by running it under hot water. Celluloid has a distinctive smell - like camphor.

That is my understanding of Jelly Belly, too. The stone could be glass or it could be plastic. Glass stones are heavier, and cooler to the touch and make a different sound when you click them with your teeth.

'40s Nylon "Crinkle Dress" - Personal Collection With Jacket:

The colors are more '60s than earlier. I have a wonderful '40s rayon (print) Holomu`u that is very crisp on both sides. I don't have any other examples of Aloha attire or fabric here but I don't think it's unusual for a cotton print to be crisp on both sides.
