I don't have a definitive timeline for the Sturdy Oak labels, except to say it was one of their work wear lines in the 1940s, gone by the early 1950s.

Seeing the inner neck labels on the shirts will offer more useful clues, although I'm still leaning into 1940s on dating.
I can't see the label or tell the fabric content on the beige pants, but cuffed work pants were in the Hercules line in the 1940s through the 1950s.

I've handled many Odette Barsa items with this identical label. More often than not, a (high-end) store tag was sewn on next to, or on top of it.
I had the same question about this '40s wide brim hat a while back.
Barbara ID'ed it as synthetic straw, made to imitate Milan braid which is very narrow and supple.
Yours looks very similar.

Yes, right! I try to restate the fake aspect of an item in a few different ways to insure the buyer's expectations are met. Just as someone might be looking for genuine fur, leather, etc., on the flip-side is the vegan who might specifically be looking for an imitation/fake.
