Ooh, I like that. It reminds me a little of the duct tape dresses people make for proms, from the way the pieces are shaped and fitted, but this gown is so much nicer of course.

It's quite beautiful. Looking at the weight and construction of it, the solid fringe and stamped book chain, it looks like a late 20's into 30's piece. Nice.

How fun! I saw the pics in both threads and that's really a wonderful collection you picked up. That black and yellow/applejuice one at bottom center is calling my name (in case you plan on selling). ;)

I don't have an answer to your question, but couldn't help mentioning how adorable those kitten pics are.

It's such a different experience seeing images of people in motion and involved in activities, rather than rigidly posed for the camera. Love that shot as well. But now I have to find out what a bathing machine is/was.

A demi-parure is just a partial set, and can be any combination (could be earrings, bracelets, brooches, necklaces, etc., and must consist of at least two). Nice find.

Great fluid form! That's a very nice set and the stones are Sodalite. It's likely no earlier than 90's and I would say millennium -- and 950 is a popular silver fineness in better Mexican jewelry and so I'm sure the demi had a handsome price on it when first purchased. Congrats!
