That's a lovely piece of pebble jewelry -- and looks like a Tara Brooch (is there a part or stem missing from the front?). The stone is most likely a moss agate.
The second piece is also fabulous, with great spider webbing in that turquoise or simulated turquoise. What does the closure look like?
Divine offerings everyone! And how neat to find the matching ad Maggie.

If the thieves entered or exited through the front, as it appears from the broken glass, the street cameras will likely have images. And if he has surveillance in the store, they'll probably get an idea of who cased the shop beforehand.

Excellent Liza -- you found one like it! And Barbara nailed it of course -- lingerie clips circa 20's. What a nice piece to have and own. Congratulations! :sunshine:
I thought it might be for attaching a hankie. Or possibly attach to a neck kerchief. That would be my guess.
ETA: I'm assuming these are sweater guards -- that's what they look like to me.
I agree Sue -- that lacy butterfly portion has been in use for quite some time. I continue to see these old findings at the flea markets as well -- which doesn't make it easy, lol.
So pretty! It looks like the shepherd's hook is a replacement, and there's a missing jump ring as well.
Looks very Czech. Maybe 1910-20-ish, around there.
Fabulous movie Apocalypto.
If any of you ever pick up the CD, it includes a separate behind-the-scenes film which discusses the textiles and how they were dyed and how they kept to traditional methods, etc. along with other interesting costuming information.
It looks like an artisan piece -- and agree with Ruth that it's more on the contemporary side. In the last decade or so, I'm finding more of this raised 'watercolor' like silhouette overlay, in both brass and silver from skilled smiths -- usually at better Art Fairs and boutiques.

It sure does have that neo-Renaissance/Revival look -- and at first glance it looks 20's, however as everyone has mentioned, it has later attributes as well, such as the brushed matte surface, and solidly cast panels.
Yet that style of shepherd's hook looks earlier (20's/30's), and overall...
Nice cameos. The first looks like a molded plastic/resin and agree that it's a revival piece. I see a later date on it (60's/70's).
The smaller carved shell cameo looks like an unmounted piece that someone cemented to a pinback -- and agree that it looks 40's/50's, and also a revival piece...
Elaine, many of us feel that your piece is much later -- and this type of jewelry is in fact available for sale in a variety of places. $45.00 made for a good sale. You did well.
