The other 40% is cotton. This makes me feel a little more confident about washing it. it is lined, not super fancy/high ticket.

I have a early to mid 1960s dress and coat ensemble. It has a little paper tag stating it is 60% acetate. I was a little surprised to see the fabric tag because I thought those became the norm in the 70s, but anyhoo, is acetate washable?

I buy into that forecast because 50s-70s colonial/early American is so abundant. I personally don't own any, not my fave style, except for a couple heirlooms, but I can see this becoming a trend. People can pick this stuff up at thrifts. For clothing, only the super young hipsters are buying...

This was actually the #1 complaint on my vintage buyers survey - they all said clear, large pics was most important followed by adequate description.

It is annoying ! I have a VERY similar coat but with ballooned sleeves rather than bracelet sleeves, not Dior though. Same length, same collar, and magenta. I was ready to list it as 59-61.
