Hi everyone.
I'm putting an image gallery together of vintage looks for work. I need great pieces, good images of the following:
Women
shrunken blazers
pencil skirts
40s or 50s suits
Men
work wearable suits
tie clips
cuff links
pin up ties (the kind with the pin up inside the tie)...
I'm wondering if completely zipped up clothing storage units will stand up to weight, time, and being in a garage. I would have to line the bottom with cedar panels.
I hate to move all of my stuff outside, but i am just not seeing any other options.

I don't wear vintage head to toe. I used to, but not anymore due to work expectations. but I do incorporate some vintage element almost everyday.
How do you wear your vintage?

This one has always been one of my favorites. I even post it in my classroom to remind the kids that different isn't bad.
This one is my current favorite and will go on all my sites:

I did some research on the street name. My husband and I went to Rome and several other cities in Italy for our honeymoon so I made sure I figured out where the good shopping is.
I checked my guide book and Vittorio Veneto is between Via Veneto and Villa Borghese, in the area of the Spanish...
Thanks everyone. I was so excited and flattered when I found out. I'm fighting the good fight and helping vintage cross over into mainstream fashion. Even if I don't win, because the competition is tough, I am honored to be nominated.
Cross your fingers. But vote first. :hysterical:

I\'ve been nominated for a FABBIE
Hi everyone.
My blog has been nominated for a Fabbie Award. A group of bloggers-the Manolo, Fashiontribes, and a bunch others, decided they were tired of fashion blogs being overlooked by the blog awards, so they started their own awards.
And I've been...
This will do very well. I couldn't believe Last Call Neiman Marcus would not give me a further discount on a Chanel jacket that was missing buttons-on the front pockets fro crying out loud!
The fact that this is a classic looking jacket, with all its buttons should get you a nice sum.
Ok, I checked my Dictionary of Costume and Fashion and Maggie's is definitely a cowl sleeve, but I think yours is a modified cowl or possibly even a "hanging sleeve"-sleeve with a slit in the front so the arm itself can come through. It's a 15th century design.
If there is no tag, I would...

I agree Viviene. Finding beautiful items or talking about designers inspired by vintage is what I love writing about.
Yay Amanda! I've got one pupil. LOL.
