The font seams somehow odd to me. Maybe it’s just the angle of the photo. Could you please take a close up of the label lying flat.
I am finding a lot of examples of this label but they are all on ties and scarves. Here is one:
Hmm I don’t think so. When it says “clean by furrier process” or sometimes “method” it usually means it is not real fur but it should be clean in a similar way as fur.
I am not an expert on T shirts at all so no idea about why it’s so desirable but I am a huge Alice in Chains fan and I do know that “empty fossil of the new scene” is from the lyrics of Them Bones from their album Dirt which came out in 1992
I see GM too. There is pretty much an identical logo available for free download on Shutterstock so it makes me think that it doesn’t belong to a company with a well known brand. I could be wrong of course.
I see 50s as well and I agree the middle layer looks like acetate in the photo. Unless there is silk, old rayon, or wool involved, I tend to soak everything in Restoration for cleaning. The risk with washing this one in any way though is that the pieces, being of different fabric may shrink...
I agree with Karin. I personally wouldn’t attempt to dye 30s rayon which this appears to be.
I have heard of people being successful with dabbing the back of the fabric with white vinegar but it has never worked for me
It can’t be earlier than 1995 or later than 2012 because that’s the period the Aeffe SpA, the Italian manufacturer listed on the label produced his collection.
I see late 90s/ early 2000s maybe
Judging by the presence of the fabric content and care label, this is not a couture runway piece. As Karin said, it would have been an item sold in retail. I get a more modern vibe than 90s too but it could be late 90s.
That’s a bit strange. First, the date for the Miami move seems a few years off (1951 vs 1949) from the obit. Also, the obit statement “became the owner and operator of Acine’s Lingerie Shops…” sounded to me like they did have their own retail operations in two different locations. Maybe they...
Maureen Baker, was chief designer for Susan Small for many years. She joined the firm in 1943 and created Princess Anne’s wedding dress in 1973. With the demise of Susan Small, Baker started her own company ‘Maureen Baker Designs’ in 1978, continuing to enjoy the Princess’s patronage, among...
Hi and welcome, @Shane Didcock

I see early 50s but it could also be late 40s. Let’s see what others think. The earliest ads for Baerbro Original I found doing a quick search was from 1948. It may or may not be related to a store called Baer Bros which seemed to have existed at least since 1877. In some ads the store was...
