Oh, it's really cool.
I suspect the tulle in the armpit is remnants of a 'dress shield.'
I'm no help with the date as these are still being produces. Very Ethnic / BOHO / Hippie.
It doesn't really *look* like wool, but I can't say without actually feeling it.
The fabric looks like...

Here's how to post a pic using www dot tiny pic dot com as an example:

Thanks so much.
I forgot to note that ther is not even a piece of a label in it, but it's definitely NOT home made.
The jacket got very wet on one of my cross-country moves.
Long story short, I had it drycleaned asap by the 'good' cleaners.
Ten years later, the gabardine is very stiff...
I know, huh???
It was '84 & I wasn't really collecting or selling back then. I was too busy drinking with, then fighting with my 1st husband.
That's my story & I'm stickin' to it.
Thanks everyone.
I don't think it's the Virginia Slims brand. It's another seller's belt. My first thought was Venezia Jeans - the Lane Bryant brand.
Anyway - we tried.
Update on Condition: 40\'s Swing Jacket
This is odd. I took the jacket out of it's plastic garment bag a week or two ago. Since then, the fabric has softened up tremendously - to the point that I'm thinking about deleting the mention of it in my description.
Burpee said she bets it's due to...
You Look WONDERFUL Pauline!
I love that your neighbor is so cool. That's just awesome.
This skirt looks terrific on you. Show off those gams, darlin.'
I love the red shoes with this - I may even go for a wilder color. Or a brighter scarf, perhaps?
As to matching your bag to your...
Don\'t think it\'s Vintage ...
...but does anyone recognize this logo, please?
It's on a belt.
Pretty sure it says Made in USA. But I don't recognize the label at all.
Thanks so much.
Hmmmm - well that makes sense, I guess. Maybe I should ask one of the sellers who uses it.
Thanks ladies.
I think a list would be awesome. Maybe I can try to start one.
This is so awesome & I'm so glad you shared it here on the public boards, Jonathan.
Ken is a natural, indeed! I guess I better put a trip to Toronto to the museum on my bucket list now. After all, I drooled all over my keyboard looking at all those wonderful shoes.
Bravo & Best to you both!
Thanks again to all you lovelies. :)
"...and there are many more derserving on the FG don't forget them..."

I'd love to share the link, but it's linked on my facebook profile...
Good point, Amber.
I'm taking it to the dry cleaner this week. It needs to be pressed or steamed, anyway, so why not go for it.
As I don't plan to sell it *cheap*, it'll go on my site.
Thanks again, y'all.
Here's the skirt:
W 34 by Length 32
Front & Back are solid pieces of fabric - no gores or seams.
No vent, kick pleat, or anything like that.
My next question is... Is it too warm to list this now? I plan to put it on my site and / or main street rather than debay.
Thanks so much, everyone.
That jacket on ebay is the only thing I've found anywhere with the Eisenberg label.
I'll definitely look at the thread about the dress, Carrie. Thank you for the link.
As to the skirt - it is more of an A-Line than anything, I guess. But it's a narrow A-Line, if...

It's from Bullocks & here is that label. The Turf Club label is on the inside waist area & the Bullock's Label is at the neck.
Thanks again!
