Wow, what an absolutely charming brooch!
I bow to Janine and others whose expertise is in this niche, but Bakelite or not, the hand-painting and pin-back closure all look period-authentic at the very least.
BTW, I'm chuckling at the term Fakelite! :hysterical:

I think '40s is a safe bet.
Cowboy stars like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers were certainly having an influence on fashion.
Would love to add this label to our resource. I'll DM you with details.
@LumaireDeBeaumont
Very cute dress! To my eye, it looks original.
I found just a few references about this brand in newspaper ads dating from the early to mid 1970s.
Here's a brief article about the brand with some odd editorializing from 1972.

Hi @Impey - This gown is so pretty, and I love what your inquiry uncovered about this brand! With your permission, we would welcome this addition to our Label Resource.
@Mandrake I think I've only seen this label on western shirts, and agree with a 1980s dating. With your permission, we will add it to our Label Resource. I'm unfamiliar with the specific bird featured in the design, but it's in a Native American style.
Wow, that's a cute dress!
It hits all the right notes for a late 1960s/early 1970s dating with the ditsy print and that old-fashioned Gunne Sax / Little House on the Prairie style.
Your label is the same as the one in our Label Resource dated to the 1960s, but its use extended into the 1970s. Seeing the entire garment would be most helpful.
OMG
Ruth, that old thread you linked to is fantastic!
So much great info about the brand and all the past employees posts - wow, I loved it!
We certainly have enough here for an entry in the LR.
