edit -*FOUND IN LABEL RESOURCE*
Hi everyone!
I am trying to date a white cotton slip that's labeled - Hollywood Vassarette by Munsingwear. I've seen Vassarette and Munsingwear but not with Hollywood in the mix, lol.
I've included pics of the label and hardware as well as a somewhat incomplete...
It's a top, I know that, no buttons, only a neck sash. Anyone know how it is supposed to be tied? Or, how it is supposed to be worn?
Any guesses on a time period? The label resource does not have this label listed. This is the only tag on the garment.
I picked this up at an estate sale this morning~2 inches across and heavy~
On the front it says:
Hollywood
Vassarette
Underneath it all
On the back it has a bust of a man with a wig, under that it says Newton, with an apple (Isaac I presume). Around the edges it says "Stay There!" 5 times...
