1900s brass adjustable suspender slide clip

This has been handed down in my family and I'm guessing it's a slide clip. The thing that's got me stumped is it has a portrait of a woman on it and a patent date stamped on it from May 2 1900 - June 11 1907. Can somebody shed some light on this piece and maybe it's value, if any. Thanks

If you're referring to Mary's avatar, that is a vintage photo of a fashion model - I believe you have the era right - 60s.

We love talking about vintage fashion here in the forums, and welcome that any time. The clip you posted is beautiful, and we are happy to help with information.

But it can be uncomfortable to receive personal comments in response, or to be approached elsewhere on the internet in ways unrelated to our small businesses. I hope you understand.
