Hello All,
I am trying to get more information on Abercrombie products before he merged with Fitch. I have a pair of lace up boots made somewhere around 1901. I found out that Abercrombie Camping , made these boots , but cannot find out any information as to value. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Kris

Hi Kris, if you haven't read it already there is a little info on our label resource page for Abercrombie & Fitch.
I don't have any personal knowledge of this company but it sounds like the sort of enterprise that would have had catelogues and regular advertising, have you tried loooking for info in places such as Google News Archives? and you can often find advertisements/catelogues from this sort of era on Ebay, though the popularity of this brand may mean they have all been snapped up, you can sometime get a look from google caches of the page.

I doubt the original poster is still checking this thread but I want to share some potentially helpful information. Abercrombie had his own company after leaving A&F in 1907. "David T. Abercrombie Co., Camping Outfitters" was started in 1908 (Builders of our Nation, Men of 1914, published in 1915, lists David as "president, David T. Abercrombie Co., N.Y. City, outfitters for sportsmen). I've seen catalogs for this company as late as 1952.

The "Abercrombie Co." (the name did not include "David T.") was the name of the original store from 1892 to 1904, when it became A&F.
