1910's Black Faille Coat

I think this coat is some kind of faille. What would a likely fabric for it to be of for a coat made in the teens? It is missing the buttons on the front. It has some type of black plastic buttons at the cuff, would that material be typical for the time? Do you think I should find appropriate buttons for it, or list it as is? Thanks!!!

We've already seen this one on a previous post haven't we?

I recommend that you just get a nice set of old bakelite buttons or if you wanted covered ones, black faille is fairly easy to pick up online because it came back into fashion in the late '40s. I have a nice big piece I've been meaning to turn into a jacket.

I hadn't noticed before, but it looks like it has a lot of iron shine. Pity. I really do wish people would take better care of their clothes. What are the little buttons along the back? If they're self-covered, I'd expect the others to be too. You will get a better price if you replace the buttons but the extra may not outweigh the cost.

Thanks Nicole! I did add it to the lower part of another post to compare to the one I posted about, but I didn't ask these things. Thanks for the quick response.
