1920s dress with interesting design - not sure what it is called?

Hello all

Loving this unique dress I came across the other day. I'm not really sure what you would call that open crochet work at the bottom. It has what looks like tuffed velvet and the lattice work looks like it is done with heavy thread. There is also a lot of metallic gold work. Any thoughts on what you would call this? Thanks!

Great dress! I really like the hem treatment - I would call that openwork or cutwork lace. The "tufted velvet" is probably chenille embroidery.

Pretty dress. Please put it on a padded hanger short enough it does not stress the top of the sleeves. Cut the ends off a padded hanger and resew the ends if you have to. We have to repair too many dresses with hanger burn.

Beautiful, I love the color combination on this. I think the motif on the hem was inspired by peacock feathers!
