1930\'s Dress, NRA?
Hi everyone,
I have been away for a while - had my last law exam for the year yesterday, yeah!- so I haven't had a chance to check out the boards much. I did, however, recently purchase this gorgeous 1930's evening dress. The fabric is perfect condition in the respect that there are no holes or tears, but it has faded in places and has some quite nasty stains. Anyway what is really interesting is the label which is marked 'NRA' with a little picture of an eagle and states " Made under DRESS CODE, AUTHORITY XBA". I put it in capitals because that is how it appears on the label. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I thought it might be the National Recovery Agency (I think that's right) or maybe I am wrong? Your help would be much appreciated.
