1940s Blouse? Young Hollywood?

I am thinking this is a 1940s military style blouse.
Has anyone seen this Young Hollywood label?

My question is there a particular garment wore with this type of blouse/jacket?
Skirt, pants ?

Thanks in advance. Sandy

It probably did have a skirt but I can see this looking amazing with a pair of really draping wide leg pants. It is really lovely.

I should note I am just commenting from a styling viewpoint and not a historically accurate viewpoint. :)

I agree with the others: this looks like a late '40s glamour evening set, and would have had a flared skirt originally. It's the antithesis of military style so I'm not sure what you're seeing there (apart from it being a jacket).

I found a (sold) set on etsy with a plainer collar and flared skirt, in a brownish satin. I'd like to see yours with a pencil skirt and high heels, with seamed stockings of course.

Nicole. I agree now that I think about it. The double buttons was what I was going by but dismissed the scallops.
Working fast today.

I saw the white silk skirt on the decadent 30s that the Vintage Genie has. Would something like that work with this style?
What is it called? Peplum?

Foofoogal, this looks like a shaped and fitted long line jacket - a peplum is a separate panel that comes from the waist, so there's a seam there.

I haven't seen the white skirt so I'm not sure if it will work but this style of jacket should work with any skirt that wasn't bulky around the waist, or too short. Mid calf length will work best, whether it's a full or fitted skirt.

Thank you all. There is no seam. I did put a 3rd. photo to show back.

It is like liquid silk. One covered top button under the collar is missing. Anyone have one?

I mainly asked about this blouse to find info about the label.
It seems I had a Princess coat once with this label but cannot find the photo now.
It was patented is says.

Oh, how fabulous is that. Thank you so much for showing the ad.
Can you tell me what magazine that came from?

Second floor? I wonder of what store? Where?

The skirt suggestion was spot on.
Sandy

Thank you. I did actually find an almost identical set that did sell online.
Same label and copper. The skirt was copper just like the blouse and identical to photo ad.
