1940s crochet skirt set w/ satin trim

What kind of slip would have been worn under this? I have 1 rayon slip with lace trim but I'm not sure that the rayon slip would be historically accurate, with the lace trim.

And given the satin, how should I wash this??

Traditionally, a silk or 40s acetate slip would've been worn under this. About washing this... before you try anything, I'd color test the trim. It might bleed with cleaning and dry cleaning with a reputable cleaners is best. But color test it first for bleed.
