Hello again.
Seeking your thoughts and words of wisdom on this piece. It's two pieces, a jacket and a strapless dress. The pictures don't do the color justice, it's a coppery brown and the material is soft, shiny, and slick. The only label is Edson's Hotel Syracuse.
The only flaws I can find (besides being terribly wrinkled) is a small hole in the lace near the metal side zipper, there are belt loops but no belt, and some kind of mark on the skirt.
Time period? I am thinking 1940s. Material? Again, it's very soft, shiny, and slick. Satin maybe? Also, what are your thoughts on having this dry cleaned (to remove those marks) or professionally pressed (so many wrinkles!). And finally, thoughts on that very small hole in the lace, how to repair or at least stop it from getting any bigger.
As always, very much appreciated.
