1940's wedding dress buttons wanted

1940\'s wedding dress buttons wanted

I need to replace the buttons on a 1940's white (ever so slightly ivory) wedding dress. The original parachute silk covered buttons have become all rust stained from the metal shanks underneath.

The dress doesn't fasten with buttons, they are only for decoration at the front so the size doesn't have to be as exact as the originals. The originals measures approx. 1/2" across though.
I need seven buttonsto sew back over the original stitch holes.

Either white or clear glass would be nice but I am open to others if I think they will match with the dress.

I am willing to pay but nothing too expensive please.

You can email me at [email protected]

Thanks! :)

Lei

hi, i'm not sure if they would be suitable, but i have seven glass buttons on ebay just now (measuring about 5/8"). Just thought i'd let you see them incase they might do
buttons

Oh Lei I should have thought to mention buttons - I've done that too! Glad the dress came out OK though :)
Rosine's are lovely, and I also found an ebay shop that had loads of NOS vintage little buttons too... will try and find for future reference.
