1950s Abercrombie & Fitch Skeet Shooting/Hunting Club Jacket

This Abercrombie & Fitch label is not listed in our Label Resource Section and I would like to submit it, but wanted to confirm the date first. I think it's from the 1950s, but would appreciate your opinion regarding the date. Thank you!:)

Coat has....
~Pre TM registration ACWA Union label dates the coat from 1949 to 1962.
~ “Abercrombie & Fitch New York” label which I would think pre-dates A&F opening of stores later in the 1950s in San Francisco and Chicago, locations which were promoted on their labels.
~I could only find ads for men's coat from the 1950s with the Lodenbury Tyrolean fabric.
~Coat has a full, sack cut and slightly padded shoulders so I was wondering if it could be early 1950s?

Hi Alice,

I don't know enough about dating men's wear to help, but I'm sure someone will be around later to verify the date - or to give their opinion. Thanks for the labels. There's a label thread you can put this one on once you've gotten the date confirmed.
