1950s Metallic Brocade Hostess Dress w/ Fur

Hi all,

I need the professionals on this one!

I found this (late??) 1950s hostess dress w/ cream brocade and gold metallic threading. Both sleeves are lined w/ real fur and the neck and cuffs are studded w/ rhinestones. There is a "Mark" metal zipper but there are no tags inside. Based on the seams, it does look like it was professionally made. It came a Neiman Marcus hanger, but I know NM typically has a tag somewhere in their garments, so that doesn't seem to be an option. Any thoughts on where this could have been made or maybe someone has seen something similar?? I've been looking for Mark zippers, but so far nothing has popped up in my searches.

Any help would be great.

I could also use some suggestions on spot cleaning, too.

I was thinking late 50s/early 60s, but now that I think about hostess gowns, your suggestion makes more sense.

for sure. the empire waist line, and the lenght. I can imagine it with a giant hairdo
