1950s Neiman Marcus label, but don't think dress is from the 50s. Opinions please?

This pale pink dress feels like a silk crepe, very beautiful and has a great feel to it. I love the dress, but wonder about when it is from. The Neiman Marcus label was typically used during the 1950s and I could find nothing about the maker, Patricia Murray. I just don't think it is from the 1950s and am wondering what you think. Anyone know anything about Patricia Murray or any opinion on age of the dress? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. :)

I would have said late 70's.
The straps have been altered - the way they sit on the front makes think they were meant to cross over the chest and go down the back normally.

For curiosity's sake - can you show the zip and how the labels are stitched on?
Both the brand label's font and the type of plastic encased diamante trim looked 1970's to me. The 1950's dresses I have with diamante straps are metal and prong set not glued.

I am going with 1970s too! Thank you so much for all your help. :) It was the label that threw me really, it makes sense now if they had a similar looking label in the 70s too. And thank you for the article too!

I think Melanie is right, but it doesn't to me look like the straps were altered. It just looks like they need to be crossed in front at the chest/below the neck. You (or your mannequin) might need to stick your head through the criss-cross to wear it, if they don't detach at back.
