1950\'s velvet dress with rabbit fur trim

So I've already shown you my newest acquisition, the Liberty Aesthetic gown. Want to see my very first vintage purchase?

Technically, my mom bought it, because I was only 13! We found this 1950's blue cotton velvet dress with white rabbit fur trim at a consignment shop in about 1988, and I remember I had to have it. Mom bought it for me, and I wore it on my very first date in 1989!

No, I met my husband many years later! My first date is a big international opera star now...and I knew him when his mom had to drive us on dates in her minivan!

Love it. My mom made me a blue velvet dress for prom in the 1970s. I picked out the fabric. I love velvets.
